New ground squirrel breedings
The main goal of the project is to establish new breedings of ground squirrel (also know as European Suslik) in three different places for the purpose of its subsequent repatriation to selected historically suitable localities according to the plan of the rescue program.
Main goals:
1) making new breeding facilities
2) capture of genetically suitable individuals for breeding – using ground squirrel population from Slovakia
3) public awareness
